The last month and a half have been busy times for Christian Expeditionary Force. With Christmas, New Years, Family, Friends, and Cataclysm we've had our plates full. To begin with old news first... we reached 11/12 completion of ICC 10 before Cataclysm was released.
We managed to kill Sindragosa a few days before Cataclysm and for that we were elated. ICC 10 proved to be the first dedicated effort of IXOYE to down a raid instance that managed to have all 10 guild members every raid night and to have the same core team throughout.
Schedules just didn't pan out the last couple of weeks before Cata and numerous illnesses just made downing the Lich King impossible. We got one night of attempts on him, but that was it. With that said it was a fun and challenging experience to rush through ICC like we did. About half of our raid makeup were first time raiders and so for us to do all that we did with all guild members in only a month, well that was extraordinary and I appreciate the effort everyone put into it.
With that said, for the achievement and title we plan on returning to ICC 10 to kill Arthas Jan 6th if everyone's schedules and health permit it.
As Cataclysm entered the scene IXOYE took a much needed break from raiding and returned to the leveling scene because of course you can't raid in Cataclysm without a level 85! Rebòrn (Nath) was our first level 85! Congratulations! For a list of the first 10 level 80s take a look at this forum post I created.
The guild has been more active than ever since Cataclysm released. For our humble numbers we've progressed in rank fairly quickly. IXOYE is now a level 6 going on level 7 guild and well on its way to completing many of the new and fun guild achievements.
Plans for level 85 raiding haven't been made yet. With the holidays we've been delayed in that respect. Classes have started and many have returned back to work, but I hope to be in the planning soon. I'd like to at least begin testing the waters in the next couple of weeks.
As always we're looking for new players to join our guild. If you're interested in a casual family-friendly atmosphere with a Christ-centered focus then you should send an application our way. Look forward to hearing from you!
